Faith Formation
-
The AFFT (Adult Faith Formation Team) has as its primary focus adult faith formation and education. They are more than just volunteers; they are stewards who freely share their God-given talents to help draw out from this community of faith a greater return to the Lord. Their purpose is to be interactive with the parish. Their statement of intent: Striving under the direction of the Holy Spirit, we present regular and enriching opportunities for the deepening renewal and growth of individual as well as community spirituality for our parish family.

St. Gerard Majella’s Adoration Chapel offers an opportunity for quiet prayer and reflection with Our Lord exposed in the Blessed Sacrament. Spiritual reading materials, rosaries, and the petition book are available as guides for our parish prayer. Everyone in the parish community is encouraged to stop by “for a visit” with Our Lord at any time.
The chapel is adjacent to the Narthex and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A security code is necessary to gain entrance between 10 pm and 6 am. Contact Alice Feltz at 314-225-7961. -
We pray the Rosary as a group after the 6:30 and 8:00 am Masses on Tuesdays and after the 9:00 am Mass on Saturday.
SGM Evening Rosary Via Conference Call
Our Faith is true: the Lord hears when the just cry out, and from all their distress. He rescues them.
We invite all to join as a Parish Community in praying the Rosary each evening at 7:30pm. By asking the Blessed Mother for her intercession during this time of agony, violence and challenges, we seek to unite our community in prayer for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and, the violence towards others and the unborn. By the Mysteries of Faith, Hope and Charity, we offer our trust in Jesus our Lord.
On your phone, dial (351) 999-4341 a few minutes before 7:30 pm and wait for the call to begin. A family will lead all parishioners who call in to join the Rosary call each evening. Please join us as often as you can.
Families can volunteer, once or again, to lead us in this Prayer by calling John Heck (314-374-6876), Paul Andrew (314-210-9041), or using the Sign up at
This is a powerful and rewarding spiritual act that can be done with the entire family for ourselves and for others. Please join.
