Welcome!

There are lots of ways to connect with others in our family of faith. Whether you want to dive more deeply with the life of the parish or strengthen your sense of belonging, these ministries can help you feel welcomed, valued, and motivated to grow in faith.

  • Our mission is to provide leadership, service and fellowship opportunities for the men of St. Gerard Majella Parish and to financially assist parish sports programs along with other parish needs. 

    Leadership and service opportunities include participation in and oversight of the parish sports programs, the coordination and participation with other parish volunteer groups, the Boy Scouts and community outreach programs.

    • SGM Christmas Tree Lot - Opens after Thanksgiving -Tree Lot Captains Needed for 2026!

    Our meetings are typically held on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm. Please take a minute to make a note in your calendar so you don't miss a meeting. If you have never been to a Majella Club meeting, please make it a point to visit! It's an excellent opportunity to learn about our sports programs, enjoy some fellowship with other members of the parish and meet new people. Refreshments are provided. 

  • The Marian Guild Circles 

    Faith Opportunity 
    Join us in the Parish Meeting Rooms at 7:30pm every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month as the Marian Guild leads the parish wide rosary.

  • Knights of Columbus Kirkwood Council 2117

    Inspired by our organization's founder, Blessed Fr. Michael McGivney, we are pledged to four principles: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, Patriotism. Our worldwide membership includes more than 2 million Catholic men growing in faith, supporting each other, and leading their families through charitable action at home and wherever needed.  We are the strong right arm of the Church ready to assist our parish communities and help our brothers grow in their Catholic faith.

  • The Alliance of Parents & Teachers (APT) is a very active group that provides many valuable services to the school including recruiting and coordinating parent volunteers to assist the teachers with various programs. They provide Room Parents, assist with special school activities, host teacher luncheons, and do many other projects for the school. In addition, this organization sponsors fundraisers that benefit the school. Learn more!

  • Cub Scouts
    Pack 685 is an active fun-filled program for boys starting in grade 1 through the spring of 5th grade.  Tiger Cub dens are for 1st graders.  Cub dens are for 2nd and 3rd graders, Webelos dens for 4th and 5th graders. They have monthly den meetings as well as pack meetings when the entire pack gets together for programs and special events.

    Boy Scouts
    Troop 685 is offered to all boys from the spring of 5th grade to age 18. All-age boys working together to run one troop under the guidance of the Scoutmasters and the Parent Committee. Some of the activities are monthly troop meetings, patrol leader planning meetings, service opportunities to the community and parish, weekend camp outings, merit badges, week long summer camps, fundraisers, leadership training and FUN!  Call troop scoutmaster, Steve Askren 314-965-4721, if you are interested in joining us.  Current scouts and their families can check our activities on our website.

    Girl Scouts
    Sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, District 6 this group is open to all girls of the parish. Our school sponsors Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes. Daisy Troops are open to girls in grades K-1; Brownie Troops are for girls in grades 2-3; Junior Troops are available for grades 4-5; Cadette Troops include girls in grades 6-8. Each Scout troop meets an average of 1 time a month, and also takes periodic field trips.

  • Fish Fries are back in 2026!

    Fish fries will be held on Fridays throughout the Lenten Season. 

    We can always use help!  If you would like to volunteer, the online signup form will be available in early 2026. 

    When you come up to SGM for fish fry Dougherty Ferry Road will be entrance only and Ballas Road will be exit only.

    There will be three options for getting your fish this year:

    Dine In

    • Dine in is back and will operate from the school lobby again.

    • Park on the gym side of the parking lot.

    • Order forms will be available in the lobby, or you can print them at home.

    Drive Thru

    • Drive thru will operate just as it has in the past.

    • Enter from Dougherty Ferry and follow directions around the back. 

    • To help speed things up you can print off an order form and have your order ready when you come up to SGM.

    Carry Out

    • Carry out will operate from the school lobby again.

    • Park on the gym side of the parking lot.

    • Order forms will be available in the lobby, or you can print them at home.

    Delivery

    • If you are a parishioner who is unable to drive through to pick up a fish fry meal due to illness or physical limitations, we will deliver it to your door!

    Please be patient as we may need to tweek these processes as we iron-out any unforeseen issues.
