Youth Ministry

We are a community of middle school (6th-8th grade) and high school (9th-12th grade) teens, adults, and parents centered on and strengthened by a relationship with Jesus and the Catholic Church.

We desire to empower young people to be aware of the blessings of God in our community and encourage the development of their talents and gifts for the unique mission God has for their lives. We empower teens to grow in holiness through Scripture, the Sacraments, prayer/praise and worship, retreats, and weekly ministry opportunities. Spiritual, service, and social activities are offered. Steubenville Live Information

Unfortunately, we aren't going to be able to take a group of teens to Steubenville this year. HOWEVER, Stuebenville is offering a live conference!!

Although nothing can beat an in-person Steubenville Conference, we are so glad to have the opportunity to gather virtually as the Body of Christ. Jesus will still change hearts and lives; we’re sure of it.

Check out this link for more info:

We will be registering as a group and hosting our own Steubenville at SGM by streaming into the live keynotes and offering breakout sessions!

Have questions or ready to register?

We hope you will join us!

Youth Minister

Erica Maloney

I grew up in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.  Raised in the United Methodist church, a personal relationship with Jesus and the Bible were an important part of my life from early on.  I made my conversion to the Catholic faith after attending a Steubenville youth conference as a high school junior – Jesus in the Eucharist rocked my world. Since my conversion, I have been on mission in Belgium, Holland, Morocco, Mexico, and China. My previous parish experience includes: St. Alban Roe in Wildwood, MO; St. Joseph parish in Pennsylvania; and All Saints-St. Peters. I love my Catholic faith, and watching teens truly come alive with the joy and excitement of following Jesus and belonging to His Church. In my free time, I enjoy creating art, spending time with my husband, Greg, our daughter, Ava, and our adorable (spoiled) pets – Kodiak and Melody.

Lindsay Stokes - Summer 2020 Intern

Hello SGM Family! I’m Lindsay and I’m so honored to be in Saint Louis for the summer serving alongside Erica in SGM’s youth ministry program! As an intern, it’s a privilege to be trusted with the youth of our Church and this parish for the summer.

A little about me:

  • I am a native South Carolinian!
  • I’m currently attending Charleston Southern University (Go Bucs!) in Charleston, SC and I will be graduating in December with a degree in Youth Ministry and a minor in Family Communications
  • I can take down a lavender latte in no time (coffee is a 5th love language and it’s my top one!)
  • I have been active in youth ministry since my junior year of High School where I was able to start making sense of my Catholic faith and start making my faith my own
  • Some more of my favorite things include coffee dates, sunrises and sunsets, snuggling with my dogs, the beach, deep conversations, and board games!

Let no one look down on your because you are young, but set an Version Historyexample for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. -1 Timothy 4:12
