Youth Ministry

We are a community of high school (9th-12th grade) and middle school (7th-8th grade) teens, adults, and parents centered on leading teens toward an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our mission is to  create a community where young people can encounter Christ and be formed as disciples. We strive to be authentic, joyful, loving, and evangelical in practicing our Catholic faith. We empower teens to grow in holiness through Scripture, the Sacraments, prayer, retreats, and weekly ministry opportunities for both middle and high school students. Any high school or middle school teen can join us for any event! Follow us on social media for upcoming events and updates! Instagram-@sgmyouthministry. Youth Minister

Ms. Grace Makowski

Hello everyone! My name is Grace Makowski and I am the Youth Minister at SGM. I am beyond excited to be at St. Gerard and have the opportunity to work with the middle school and high school students! I grew up in south county in St. Margaret Mary Alacoque parish. I was involved in youth ministry during high school and it holds such a special place in my heart because it helped me really grow in my relationship with the Lord. I have worked in youth ministry as a core member and by being a Totus Tuus missionary for the past two summers. I can not wait to see all the goodness that the Lord has in store for the youth ministry program here at SGM! I am really excited to meet all of you. Know of my prayers for this parish and I ask that you pray for the success and growth of the youth ministry program at St. Gerard!
