Starts October 25– what is that?
We’ve heard of “the New Evangelization”, we’ve experienced “All Things New”… and now we’re ready for Kerygma!
Simply stated, kerygma is Greek for “proclamation”, but in our Catholic tradition, the Kerygma is the “apostolic proclamation of salvation through Jesus”. If that sounds like evangelization, you’re right! Beginning in October, we will have speakers at SGM approximately once a quarter to speak with and enlighten, educate and excite us about various aspects of evangelization, and we’re calling this the Kerygma Speaker Series.
The first speaker is, appropriately enough, Brian Miller, Director of Evangelization and Discipleship for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Brian is a dynamic and entertaining speaker who will join us at SGM on October 25 at 7pm in Liguori Hall to give us practical ideas and insight about evangelizing (and explain kerygma further!). His presentation will last about 45 minutes, and will be followed by light refreshments and socializing.
Join fellow parishioners to learn more about how you can help to build our parish and our Faith!
