SGM Parish & CYC needs soccer referees for the coming season.  All SGM parents and coaches are encouraged to become officials. Games are on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays from August 23 to November 15.  Games can be refereed at St. Gerard, Des Peres Park, Buder Park, Christ Prince of Peace, St. Joseph Manchester and Twin Oaks Church. Other parishes may have opportunities for games as well.

Pay rates are by grade level refereed and are per game:

1st & 2nd: $20 

3th & 4th : $25

5th & 6th : $35

7th & 8th : $40

Returning this year, at St Gerard if a 7th grader over age 13 would like to ref k-2 soccer they can if a parent is also certified, and they can referee games together. Both parent and child will be paid. 8th graders over age 14 can sign up to ref without a parent. High Schoolers are encouraged to referee and will be assigned older-age games based on experience.

CYC Soccer Referee Clinics:

 All 7th-12th Grade Officials and All adult officials (including MSHSAA certified) in each of his/her first two years of officiating in the CYC are required to attend a clinic. If an adult official has not officiated in the last two years, they must attend a clinic. 

SGM New Ref Orientation:

A brief orientation to learn how assigning application/payment will work this year and serve as an opportunity for Q&A and for veteran refs to share a few tips and best practices for newer/younger refs
