Seminary, Diaconate, Regina Cleri
Kenrick-Glennon Seminary’s mission is to prepare young men for ordination to the Sacred Priesthood by providing a comprehensive education along with spiritual, human, intellectual, and pastoral formation. The Seminary accompanies and trains men “to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit”. (MT 28:19)
The ACA grant to the Seminary offsets the cost of education significantly to seminarians from the St. Louis Archdiocese. By supporting the Appeal, you are supporting the formation and education of the future leaders of the Church of St. Louis!
The Diaconate Office forms men for ordination as Permanent Deacons and supports the ministry of the Deacons and their wives. The five-year program trains men to serve in parishes and social services. Sixteen men were Ordained last summer; the need continues to grow. SGM is blessed by the ministry of our three deacons!
At Regina Cleri, our retired priests are cared for in a safe and joyful atmosphere. The health and well-being of these men who spent their lives providing the Sacraments, pastoral care, faith development, and so much more, is the top priority. The lives of the priests are enriched with a sense of dignity, fraternal community and purpose.
The Annual Catholic Appeal provides essential funding for the formation of our future priests and deacons, and the care for our retired priests!
