I routinely rejected invitations to parish sponsored retreats but in 2017, at the urging of one of our priests, I accepted the invitation to an ACTs Retreat. The experience helped me strengthen relationships in every aspect of my life, most importantly with God and my family. Sharing the weekend with other men in the parish helped me to realize that we all have similar circumstances, opportunities and challenges. My life is not unique. There is a community of men going through the same things I’m going through. I’ve been involved with ACTs ever since. Honestly, my only regret was that I did not accept the invitation sooner.
