Monthly Evening Vespers on the third Wednesday of each month is now being offered at 7:00 pm in the church, with the next opportunity being on August 19th. Our speaker that evening will be Steve Rupp, Manager of Growth and Revitalization for the St. Vincent de Paul Society in St. Louis, speaking on the history and impact of the organization.  The service and speaker will also be livestreamed from SGM’s YouTube channel (the same as for Mass); the prayer guide will be posted on-line as well. For those attending in person, the safety guidelines we use for Mass will be in place for Vespers: social distancing before and after services, seating in designated pews only, and use of masks. Confession will be offered during the evening, starting at 7:00 pm, but there will be no social gathering after the speaker.  Our parish has a strong commitment to the SVDP Society (as demonstrated by the overwhelming response to the recent clothing drive!), and hearing from Steve, a leader of SVDP and a past-president of the Missouri Right to Life organization, will offer insights about the power of this beloved charitable organization. Whether you are joining in person or remotely, it will be a wonderful evening of gathering as a faith community!
