This is a reminder that December 31st is the deadline for compliance in the new Safe Environment system, Prevent and Protect. The parish will pay the cost of background checks through December 31st, but after this date it will be self-pay.
As of January 1st, all those who wish to volunteer with minors/vulnerable adults in the parish/school must be compliant with the new system. A few helpful tips:

• Registration in the system requires the use of the passcode stlprotect
• Make sure you add St. Gerard Majella as your parish.
• Use Google Chrome to view the videos.
• The checklist on the site will let you know when you have completed all requirements.
