The documents of Vatican II
The Vatican II Council ended 55 years ago, and had wide ranging impact on the Catholic Church and the practice of many aspects of our Faith. Even after almost six decades, the purpose and meaning of this Council is still misunderstood and debated since its conclusion in 1965. We will examine Lumen Gentium, the Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, one of the principal documents of Vatican II. Lumen Gentium is Latin for “Light of the Nations”, and covers many topics of our beautiful Faith, such as holiness and religious life, the saints and Mary, and the historical existence of the Church.
Running from Wednesday, September 22 until October 20, sessions will be offered at 9 am in Room 220 (except 9/22 in Room 224) and 7 pm in Room 225. Put this on your calendar today to join as many sessions as you can for what are sure to be insightful and lively discussions on how our faith is a light to all nations!
