Cotillion 2021 - Attention Parents of 8th Graders

We are pleased to announce that St. Gerard Majella will be continuing the Cotillion program for our 8th grade students. St. Louis Cotillion was organized in 1957 and has experienced tremendous growth and success. St. Louis Cotillion is designed to instruct students in social dancing, etiquette, and practical manners with the primary goal of preparing young people for future social obligations with confidence, poise and self assurance. The Cotillion setting encourages young ladies and gentlemen to be comfortable together, to build and strengthen friendships and most of all to enjoy themselves. This is a program that helps prepare adolescents to face their future with more poise and confidence, emphasizing social skills, etiquette and fun! Please see the enclosed program agenda for more program details.

Cotillion will be held on the following dates from 3:15 pm to 4:45 pm (unless noted). Students may wear their school attire for the first 5 classes. All sessions will be held in St. Gerard Majella’s Parish Meeting Rooms, except the final date. The dates are as follows:

  1. September 10
  2. September 17
  3. September 23 (Noon-2)
  4. October 1

The Grand Finale Dinner & Dance will be held at the Marriott West on Friday, October 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Details regarding the last evening will be distributed later.  We ask that the students adhere to the following dress code for the final dinner and dance. Gentlemen can wear, dress pants, shirt, tie, belt and dress shoes with socks. Shirt must be tucked in. Sport coat is optional.

The fee for Cotillion will be $100 per student. The cost covers the cotillion instructors, weekly snacks and drinks and the finale dinner and dance.  Please Paypal or make checks payable to SGM (see registration form).  The deadline for returning the Cotillion Registration Form is Thursday, September 2nd.
