As many of you know, we have been searching for a new Coordinator of Youth Ministry after Erica recently relocated to Florida. It has been a long search, both with some obstacles to overcome and some wonderful candidates. But I am excited to announce that we will welcome Ms. Grace Makowski as our new youth minister, beginning in September! 

Grace has served as a core member for other youth ministry programs in the past, and most recently has been serving as a missionary team leader for the Totus Tuus Summer Camp in the Archdiocese of Saint Louis. In fact, she was the leader of the team that came to St. Gerard Majella just a few weeks ago, and has already met a number of our teens and middle schoolers!

Grace is completing her degree, and so will only be working part time with us until December, using the time to form the foundation for a thriving youth ministry at our parish.  She will then come to the parish full-time in January, when we will launch the new face our program. She will be around to introduce herself in September, so please join me in welcoming Grace to SGM, and praying for the success of our youth ministry program!
